Job Description
The Finance & Administration Officer will be responsible for managing financial activities, supporting administrative operations, and facilitating bilingual communication between the company and its Chinese partners. This role requires strong financial expertise, excellent accuracy, and the ability to work comfortably in both English and Chinese environments.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Duties
- Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and transaction logs.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
- Manage invoices, receipts, supplier payments, and staff payroll support.
- Ensure proper documentation for audits and ZRA tax compliance.
- Support financial analysis for projects, procurement, and company operations.
Administration & Coordination
- Assist with procurement processes, quotations, and payment documentation.
- Coordinate communication between local management and Chinese partners.
- Support daily office operations and administrative tasks.
- Liaise with banks, suppliers, service providers, and regulatory bodies where needed.
Other Duties
- Perform any other finance, administrative, or bilingual communication tasks assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Preferably studied in China (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of finance software is an advantage.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and professionalism.
- Ability to work in a bilingual, multicultural environment.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience working with Chinese companies or in Chinese business environments.
- Familiarity with Chinese business culture, documentation, or financial processes.
- Membership in ZICA, ACCA, CIMA, or related bodies.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
