JOB DETAILS:
Finance Manager at ACCA
Our client is looking for a results-driven and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee financial operations within a business specialising in Parts Sales, Workshop Services, and Power Generation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasts to ensure liquidity and profitability
- Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management
- Lead the annual budgeting process and develop financial models for planning and strategic initiatives
- Ensure compliance with Zambian tax laws, ZRA filings, and statutory obligations
- Liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities
- Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Partner with operational teams to optimise cost efficiency and margins
- Analyse job costing, inventory movements, and parts pricing
- Support power generation projects with financial viability assessments
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team
Key Skills
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- In-depth knowledge of inventory and cost control
- Sound understanding of service-based financials
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities
- Proficient in accounting systems such as Sage Evolution, Pastel, or SAP
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in automotive, engineering, or energy sectors
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong ethical standards and commercial awareness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- MBA or professional certifications (ACCA, CIMA, ZICA) preferred
