NAPSA Hospitality Investments Limited (NHIL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) whose mandate is to oversee the investments of NAPSA in the tourism and hospitality industry. NHIL is an equal opportunity employer and is currently seeking to recruit for the following full time positions to be based at its head office in Lusaka to assist it in actualizing its shareholders’ mandate.
Position: Financial Accountant - 01
Key responsibilities for the role:
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Preparing monthly/annual reports, budgets, and forecasts; monitor financial performance; analyse variances.
Operational Support: Oversee daily cash handling, General Ledger, Treasury and Accounts Payable/Receivable processes.
Compliance & Control: Ensure adherence to all company policies, financial regulations, and internal controls; support audits.
Team Leadership: Supervise finance staff, provide training, and foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
Profit Maximization: Partner with hotel’s departments to identify cost savings and revenue opportunities, supporting owners' ROI.
Systems & Accuracy: Maintain data integrity in financial systems, ensuring precision in all transactions.
Hospitality Focus: Deliver exceptional guest service, maintain brand standards, and act as a trusted financial advisor.
Essential skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy / ZiCA / ACCA / CiMA
- Paid up Membership to Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZiCA)
- 3 – 5 years experience in hospitality finance (GL, Income Audit, Balance Sheet Reviews , Income Tax ) or relevant industry
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with financial software (Asset Management)
- Experience in supporting both internal and external audit engagements.
- Experience in preparation of Financial Statements and / or consolidations
- Leadership potential and a detail-oriented mindset
- Driver`s license, in good standing
