JOB DETAILS:

The Financial Accountant – Zamtel Money is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements specific to the mobile money business. This role provides financial integrity and control over mobile money transactions, including revenue recognition, expense accounting, and the treatment of digital financial assets such as customer funds and agent floats.

JOB SPECIFICATION
Minimum Qualifications:
Grade 12 School Certificate, Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Full ACCA/Full CIMA/Full ZICA

Professional Registration:
ZICA, CIMA/ACCA

Minimum Experience:
Over 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in telecom, fintech, or digital financial services

Key Skills:
Strong understanding of mobile money platforms and digital transaction flows. Experience with ERP and reconciliation systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks). Familiarity with mobile money regulatory frameworks is an advantage. Audit experience is an advantage
