THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a Fleet Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic logistics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer focus, attention to detail, and the ability to manage transport operations efficiently and safely.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain absolute customer focus through clear communication, accurate tracking, and proactive updates.
- Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally in collaboration with internal teams.
- Manage journey planning, financial control, and driver cash flow to ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee fuel allocation and accounting in line with company procedures.
- Conduct trip briefings and debriefings within 24 hours of load/offload and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Monitor disciplinary issues, driver handovers, and deductions with relevant managers.
- Report vehicle faults and lead thorough accident/incident investigations with relevant departments.
- Diligently monitor trips and vehicle tracking to prevent delays and ensure adherence to journey management protocols.
- Accurately update SAP and TMS management systems in a timely manner.
- Ensure full compliance with legal requirements and proper documentation for invoicing.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent vocational experience in Transport/Logistics.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong computer literacy and experience using online management systems (SAP/TMS preferred).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional administrative and organizational abilities.
Desirable Qualifications:
- LEAN Six Sigma Certification
- Project Management
- Business Management
- Safety Management
