The key purpose of this role is to load, unload and stack Company products in a safe and productive manner. Operate & Maintain a Forklift Truck, ensure a Safe, Healthy & Risk Free Working Environment. Work in Teams to achieve agreed KPI’s and goals.

Responsibilities or duties

Key outputs and responsibilities:

• Move palletized materials from specified origin to specified destination.
• Stack and unstack palletized material according to set standards.
• Accurately account for all product movements carried out.
• Refuel and conducts daily FLT inspections according to checklist.
• Adhere to safety standards at all times.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
• Clean up breakages and removes rocker bins.
• Carry out daily shift handovers.
• Maintain housekeeping standards.
• Maintain safe driving practice.
• Adhere to PPE standards.
• Cross functional teamwork with Packaging operators, PD truck drivers and Security
• Ensuring timeously loading and offloading of trucks within stipulated standards.
• Ensuring Correct and accurate loading of trucks according to the loading/picking slip.
• Ensuring that correct date codes (expiry dates) are loaded on the trucks.
• Stacking of empties and finished product in designated areas.
• House Keeping – Maintain clean work environment by keeping bins, pallet area and workstations neat.
• Emptying waste skips.
• Maintaining a safe work environment by not endangering yourself and others.
• Reporting safety hazards, accidents and incidents to your supervisor
• Conducting daily forklift pre-start checklist.
• Transferring of empties into Packaging and finished product from Packaging into Warehouse.
• Stripping packaging receipts, Stripping imports, outbound and inbound trucks
• Glass injection & Sorting of new glass injection and sorted glass tacking.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric with good abilities to read, write and count.
• Valid forklift driver’s license
• Must be certified as competent FLT Driver via a certified body.
• No back problems (physically fit and healthy) and good eyesight
• Excellent communication skills
• Good verbal ability in English
• Good eyesight in both eyes
• Excellent Numeracy skills
