The Italian School of Lusaka is expanding, and with growth comes opportunities. We are seeking to recruit suitably qualified, passionate, and experienced teachers to join our dynamic team in both the Primary and Secondary sections for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Appointees will report to the Deputy Heads (Secondary and Primary) and contribute directly to all areas of teaching. The Italian School is an international school offering a comprehensive Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) programme from Nursery up to A-Level.
Main Purpose of the Job
To implement and deliver a broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students, support a designated curriculum area as needed, and facilitate a learning experience that encourages students to achieve their potential.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in the subject area
- Any other relevant qualifications
- ZAQA clearance
- Current TCZ practicing license
Experience needed
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching the required subject area
- Have a secure knowledge and understanding of the subject area curriculum and related pedagogy
- Experience working with/teaching diverse groups/diverse students
- Evidence of continuous Professional Development
- Experience teaching the Cambridge A-Level programme is highly recommended

- Excellent understanding of effective and engaging teaching methods

- Have high expectations for all learners
- Full understanding of the use of assessment to inform planning
- The ability to adapt schemes of work and lesson plans to suit the needs of students

- A commitment to developing out-of-school activities to enhance progress, enrichment, enjoyment, and attainment in the subject
- Strong command of spoken and written English
