Graduate Trainee Program – Mooto Holdings

Mooto Holdings, an impact investment and fundraising advisory firm based in Lusaka, Zambia, is pleased to announce the Mooto Holdings Graduate Trainee Program, a three-month intensive professional training opportunity for recent university graduates.

The program is designed to equip young graduates with practical experience in project development, proposal writing, fundraising, and development finance. Trainees will gain hands-on exposure to real projects while working with NGOs, social enterprises, and private companies seeking funding from development finance institutions and international donors.

This traineeship offers a unique opportunity for graduates to develop highly valuable professional skills, gain workplace experience, and build networks within the development and investment sector.

At the end of the program, outstanding trainees will be considered for full-time employment opportunities within Mooto Holdings and its subsidiaries, based on performance and organizational needs.

Program Structure

The traineeship will run for three (3) months and will recruit 40 Graduate Trainees.

Trainees will be based at Mooto College of Business in Lusaka, where they will be accommodated. Participants will work from the Mooto Holdings Co-Working Space, where they will collaborate on proposal development, research, and project design activities.

Accommodation includes access to a self-catering kitchen facility, allowing trainees to prepare their own meals.

Each trainee will receive a monthly stipend of K1,000 to assist with the cost of food and personal upkeep during the traineeship.

Key Responsibilities

Graduate trainees will support the operations of Mooto Holdings and may be involved in:

  • Developing project concept notes
  • Assisting in writing project proposals and grant applications
  • Conducting donor research and funding opportunity mapping
  • Supporting project implementation activities
  • Identifying potential clients seeking fundraising support
  • Participating in research and documentation of development projects
  • Supporting general operational activities within Mooto Holdings and its subsidiaries

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field
  • Must have graduated within the last 12 months
  • Must be 25 years old or younger
  • Must possess strong computer literacy
  • Must own a personal computer (laptop)
  • Must be willing to commit to the full 3-month traineeship
  • Must be available for full-time employment after the traineeship if selected
  • Must demonstrate strong writing, analytical, and research skills

Graduates from fields such as Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration, Development Studies, Accounting, Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Project Management are encouraged to apply.
