Background

B-ne Innovations Limited is a Zambian technology and professional training company headquartered in Kitwe. We design and deliver practical AI literacy and digital transformation training to individuals, professionals, and organisations across Zambia.

Our work spans online open-enrollment cohorts (including our flagship Everyday AI program), structured multi-week courses, and customised in-house corporate trainings for banks, mines, NGOs, government agencies, and universities. Beyond training, we build software products, deliver ICT consulting, and provide cybersecurity and infrastructure services.

As we scale our training division, we are hiring our first dedicated Growth & Partnerships Officer to lead sales and enrollment across all training channels.

The Growth & Partnerships Officer is responsible for generating revenue across B-ne's full training portfolio — from individual online enrollments to multi-thousand-kwacha corporate contracts. This is a remote, commission-based role suited to a self-directed B2B sales professional ready to own a pipeline end-to-end.

You will be the primary commercial face of B-ne's training business. You will source leads, qualify prospects, deliver pitches, write proposals, close contracts, and coordinate handover to our delivery team. You will work directly with the Managing Director and have full access to our sales toolkit, warm-lead network, and product team.

Responsibilities

Business development (60% of time)

  • Identify, research, and qualify corporate prospects across priority sectors (banking, mining, telecom, government, NGOs, universities).
  • Run outbound campaigns via LinkedIn, email, and phone to generate qualified meetings.
  • Conduct discovery calls to understand client training needs, budgets, and decision timelines.
  • Develop customised training proposals using B-ne's template suite.
  • Negotiate contracts within published pricing and discount authority limits.
  • Close corporate training contracts and coordinate handover to the delivery team.

Enrollment marketing (25% of time)

  • Drive seat sales for online open-enrollment trainings (single webinars, half-day workshops, multi-week cohorts).
  • Manage the registration funnel for each cohort, from launch through close-out.
  • Coordinate with the team on social media, WhatsApp, and email campaigns supporting each cohort.
  • Build and nurture a community of past participants for referrals and repeat enrollments.

Pipeline management and reporting (15% of time)

  • Maintain an accurate, up-to-date sales pipeline in the company CRM.
  • Submit a weekly pipeline report covering activity, opportunities, and forecasts.
  • Produce a monthly trend brief identifying emerging training demand in the Zambian market.

Qualifications

Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, ICT, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of demonstrable B2B sales experience selling intangible services — training, software, professional services, insurance, telecommunications, or consulting.

Track record: At least one substantial B2B deal you can describe in detail (process, objections, close, value).

Communication: Excellent written and spoken English; confident on calls and in client-facing meetings.

Digital fluency: Comfortable with LinkedIn, email outreach tools, CRM systems, and basic productivity software.

Equipment: Own laptop, reliable internet connection, smartphone.

Location: Resident in Zambia with the right to work. Remote-first role; occasional travel to Kitwe, Lusaka, and Ndola required at company expense.

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

  • Existing professional relationships in HR, Learning & Development, or executive leadership at banks, mines, government, or NGOs in Zambia.
  • Prior experience selling training, e-learning, or professional development services.
  • Working knowledge of AI tools, digital transformation concepts, or ICT services.
  • Experience with CRM platforms.
  • Existing LinkedIn presence with active engagement in Zambian business communities.

Skills and Attributes

  • Self-starter: This is a remote, commission-based role. You must be able to set your own pace, manage your own time, and stay productive without supervision.
  • Resilient: B2B sales involves rejection. You must be able to absorb 'no' and keep moving.
  • Curious: Strong consultative-selling instincts. You ask questions before pitching.
  • Organised: Disciplined about CRM hygiene, follow-ups, and reporting cadence.
  • Numerate: Comfortable with commission calculations, pricing math, and proposal numbers.
  • Ethical: Honest with clients. Never overpromises. Represents the company with integrity at all times.
