Job Summary:

Mount Meru Group is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Human Resource to lead and oversee HR operations in Zambia. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale HR operations, handling workforce relations, and implementing progressive HR practices within complex operational structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end HR operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage workforce relations, including union relations and labour negotiations.
  • Implement and monitor HR policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
  • Drive talent acquisition, employee engagement, and retention strategies.
  • Oversee performance management and employee development programs.
  • Maintain high levels of integrity and confidentiality in handling employee data.
  • Effectively manage HR budgets, payroll, and workforce planning.
  • Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to implement HR strategies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Post Graduate Degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
  • Minimum 14-16 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing a workforce of 1500+ employees.
  • Strong operational experience in complex organizational settings.
  • Expertise in stakeholder management, workforce relations, and union relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and drive organizational change.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
