Head of Security Technology, Monitoring & Rapid Response

Location: Lusaka, Zambia

Swiss Guard Security Services Ltd is a leading security services provider committed to delivering innovative, reliable, and technology-driven security solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented professional to join our team as Head of Security Technology, Monitoring & Rapid Response.

Job Purpose

The role is responsible for leading and managing all security technology operations, including control room activities, alarm monitoring, rapid response coordination, security systems installation and maintenance, IT infrastructure, and remote guard monitoring. The successful candidate will ensure operational efficiency, service excellence, and revenue growth while maintaining high standards of security and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Leadership & Management
    Develop and implement departmental strategies to drive efficiency and profitability
    Establish policies, procedures, and performance metrics (KPIs)
    Identify and develop new business opportunities
  2. Control Room & Rapid Response Operations
    Oversee 24/7 control room and alarm monitoring systems
    Coordinate emergency responses and incident management
    Ensure optimal performance of monitoring systems and technologies
  3. Security Systems & Technology Management
    Supervise installation and maintenance of CCTV, alarms, and access control systems
    Ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements
    Manage maintenance schedules and system uptime
  4. IT & Digital Security Infrastructure
    Oversee IT systems supporting security operations
    Implement cybersecurity measures and system upgrades
  5. Fleet & Surveillance Management
    Manage GPS tracking and real-time monitoring of company vehicles
    Develop analytics to enhance operational efficiency
  6. Remote Guard Monitoring
    Enhance remote surveillance solutions and guard performance tracking
    Ensure real-time communication between field teams and control room
  7. Financial & Revenue Management
    Develop and manage departmental budgets
    Drive revenue through innovative security technology services
    Oversee pricing models for services
  8. Team Leadership & Development
    Recruit, train, and mentor staff
    Promote a high-performance culture and continuous learning
  9. Client Engagement & Business Development
    Build strong client relationships and deliver customized solutions
    Support marketing and sales initiatives
  10. Compliance & Risk Management
    Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements
    Implement risk mitigation strategies and emergency protocols

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, IT, Engineering, or related field
  • 5–7 years’ experience in security technology or operations management
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills
  • Technical expertise in CCTV, alarm systems, GPS tracking, and monitoring solutions
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and cybersecurity
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proven business acumen with revenue generation experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
