About the role:

Our client is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Auto Electrician to join our operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems on heavy-duty mining and construction equipment.

Ndola Chiliabombwe / Mining Sites (Zambia

Employment Type:

Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems in heavy-duty equipment, trucks, and auxiliary mining machinery
  • Carry out troubleshooting using electrical schematics and diagnostic tools
  • Install and service lighting, batteries, alternators, starters, wiring systems, controllers, sensors, and control panels
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and manufacturer standards
  • Support field repair assignments when required

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years proven experience as a Heavy Duty Auto Electrician
  • Strong experience working on heavy equipment
  • Ability to diagnose and repair:
    • Starting and charging systems
    • Wiring harnesses
    • Sensors, ECUs, and control modules
    • Lighting and safety systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and manuals
  • Experience working in mining or construction environments is an added advantage

Additional Requirements:

  • Relevant trade qualification or certification
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to work on site and rotational schedules
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Safety-conscious with knowledge of basic HSE standards

Compensation:

The incumbent will receive a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
