Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanics to join our team. Successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy mobile equipment used in mining and earth-moving operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, and repair heavy mobile equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Perform fault finding, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to resolve issues efficiently
- Carry out planned maintenance and respond promptly to breakdown repairs
- Replace components following Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards
- Accurately complete maintenance records and job cards
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures and professional maintenance standards
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Craft Certificate, Advanced Craft Certificate, Trade Test Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical or Heavy Equipment Engineering, or related disciplines
- At least 5 years’ experience working on heavy mining or earth-moving equipment
- Proven experience with Komatsu excavators, dozers, dump trucks, CAT 777 trucks, or similar machinery
- Strong understanding of planned maintenance systems and breakdown repair processes
