Position Overview: Private Helicopter Pilot

As a Private Helicopter Pilot at Mexico Resources Zambia Ltd, you will be entrusted with operating the Bell 430 helicopter to support various company activities. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient movement of personnel and materials, as well as provide critical aerial survey data to facilitate our mining operations. This role requires a pilot who can make swift, informed decisions while adhering to strict safety standards and aviation regulations.

Responsibilities or duties

• Operate the Bell 430 helicopter safely for private transport of executives and cargo.
• Conduct aerial surveys to assist mining operations and gather essential data.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations as needed.
• Analyze complex scenarios and make quick, well-informed decisions to ensure safety.
• Maintain compliance with Civil Aviation laws and company safety protocols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with passengers, crew members, and ground personnel.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working outside standard hours to meet operational requirements.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

• Valid Private Helicopter Pilot License with a minimum of 1,500 flight hours.
• At least 500 hours of Twin Turbine experience and 500 hours specifically on the Bell 430.
• Preferred background in utility and aerial survey operations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of aviation laws and regulations applicable in Zambia.
• Possession of a Zambian Private Pilot License is required.
• Strong analytical skills coupled with excellent decision-making capabilities.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure and in high-stress environments.
