Job Purpose
The Human Resource & Recruitment Officer will be responsible for managing HR operations, talent acquisition, and employee relations across Bienvenue Private Security Ltd and Vozara Loans. The role involves recruiting qualified staff, developing HR policies, managing employee welfare, and ensuring compliance with labour laws and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Staffing
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, shortlisting, interviews, and onboarding.
- Maintain an updated candidate database and talent pipeline.
- Conduct background checks and reference verifications.
Human Resource Management
- Maintain employee records, contracts, and HR documentation.
- Process payroll in collaboration with the Accountant.
- Ensure compliance with Zambian labour laws and company policies.
- Support performance management and staff appraisal processes.
- Handle employee relations, grievances, and conflict resolution professionally.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.
- Monitor staff attendance, discipline, and compliance with company rules.
- Organize training, workshops, and professional development programs.
Organizational Support
- Provide HR reports to management on staffing, turnover, and workforce planning.
- Advise management on HR best practices, staff motivation, and retention strategies.
- Support company culture building, staff welfare initiatives, and team-building activities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., ZIHRM) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in HR and recruitment.
- Strong knowledge of Zambian labour laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR/recruitment software.
