Our client is seeking a seasoned HR professional to join its senior management team. The HR Manager will be responsible for developing and instituting comprehensive HR systems, driving performance management processes, and overseeing the training department.

This role requires a strategic leader who can align HR initiatives with business objectives while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the CEO to strategically plan HR initiatives that enhance efficiency and company culture.
  • Update, implement, and communicate company policies to all relevant employees.
  • Develop and maintain company D&G guidelines and ensure the employee handbook remains current.
  • Coordinate and oversee training programmes for new and existing employees.
  • Monitor employee progress and maintain awareness of company climate and culture.
  • Conduct regular progress reviews and assessments with employees, addressing grievances and challenges.
  • Promote a positive, open, and supportive work environment.
  • Manage and supervise HR staff across head office and regional posts.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labour laws and regulations.
  • Keep the company informed and prepared for organisational change.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ management experience in HR.
  • Experience with a large workforce of over 1500 employees
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience in mediation and conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and leadership skills.
  • Attentive listener with empathy and strong communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software programmes.
  • Track record of effective performance management and team coordination.
