Background

Winco Industries is a Chinese manufacturing company currently establishing a new factory in Masaiti District near the Kafulafuta Toll Gate. As we expand our operations in Zambia, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced to support both the construction phase and the long-term manufacturing operations of the factory.

Key Responsibilities

HR MANAGER

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for construction workers, technical staff, and manufacturing employees.
  • Develop workforce plans to support both factory construction and operational phases.
  • Design and implement HR policies and procedures in line with Zambian labour laws.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including NAPSA, NHIMA, Workers and other regulations.
  • Manage onboarding, contracts, employee records, and HR administration.
  • Handle employee relations matters including disciplinary procedures and conflict resolution.
  • Prepare HR reports and provide strategic HR advice to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology or related field.
  • Able to speak Chinese (Optional)
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience recruiting for construction sites and manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Zambian labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Membership with the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) with a valid practicing certificate.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Age between 30 and 48 years.
