A reputable food processing company based on the Copperbelt is seeking to hire a qualified and experienced Human Resource & Administration Officer to provide comprehensive HR and administrative support and ensure smooth operations within the HR department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the recruitment process including job description reviews, job advert postings, application screening, interviews, reference checks, and salary negotiations.
- Draft, process, and maintain accurate records of staff contracts.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new employees to facilitate smooth integration.
- Monitor probation periods and follow up on confirmations and extensions promptly.
- Address staff grievances and disciplinary matters in compliance with company policies and labor laws.
- Provide HR and administrative guidance to staff and supervisors on policies and best practices.
- Prepare monthly payroll and ensure timely filing of statutory returns (NAPSA, ZRA, NHIMA).
- Manage the company’s internal security team to safeguard property and personnel.
- Process leave requests and generate monthly leave reports.
- Maintain up-to-date and secure HR records and employee personal data.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
- Paid-up membership of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Valid driving license.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role with traceable references.
