About the HR Officer Role
The HR Officer will play a vital role in supporting Sun Share Investments’ human resources operations. Key Responsibilities for the HR Officer Position
- Coordinate recruitment campaigns and manage onboarding procedures for new hires.
- Maintain accurate employee records and update HR databases regularly.
- Assist with payroll processing and manage employee leave schedules.
- Support performance appraisal systems and staff development initiatives.
- Ensure strict compliance with Zambian labour laws and company policies.
- Handle employee relations issues with discretion and professionalism.
- Prepare comprehensive HR reports and maintain necessary documentation.
- Organize training sessions and wellness programs for staff wellbeing.
- Assist with disciplinary actions and grievance procedures as required.
- Perform additional HR and administrative duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Mandatory membership with the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM).
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of proven experience in Human Resources or Administration.
- Strong knowledge of the Zambian Employment Code Act and labour regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively.
- Experience with HR software systems is an advantage.
