Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified, competent and proactive Human Resources Officer to lead our HR function. The successful candidate will manage recruitment, employee relations, compliance and ensure adherence to local employment regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and uphold HR policies in line with the Zambian Employment Act and other relevant legislation
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes
- Administer employee contracts, payroll and benefits in accordance with Zambian labor policies
- Handle employee relations, grievances and disciplinary procedures
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting as per Zambian statutory requirements
- Coordinate training and development programs
- Promote a positive company culture and employee engagement
- Stay updated on changes in Zambian labor law and advise Management accordingly
Qualifications:
- Degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum 3 years of HR experience, preferably within the security or related industries in Zambia
- Sound knowledge of the Zambian Employment Act and other relevant legislation
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- HR certification (CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent) is advantageous
- Must be a member of the ZIHRM
- 25 years and above
