Background

In line with our corporate priorities aimed at ensuring optimization of revenue collection and increased tax compliance on one hand and the need to effectively manage the numerous challenges and opportunities in the fast-changing business environment on the other, we are seeking highly motivated, result-oriented, well-qualified and experienced professionals to fill the following vacant position:

ICT OFFICER-COMMUNICATIONS (VOICE), SALARY GRADE ZRA06 (1 POSITION), ICT FUNCTION

A. PURPOSE

Reporting to Senior ICT Officer – Communications Voice, the job holder will be for effectively support the ZRA business through the provision of timely, cost effective, efficient and professional ICT communication services through consultation, agreements and research, with customers and service providers by developing and implementing ICT strategies, standards and procedures for the purpose of achieving corporate goals.

B. MAIN DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure that all the voice communications equipment such as IP PBX, Call Centre, CRMS, telephones and accessories are functioning properly.
  • Repair voice communications equipment such as IP PBX, Call Centre, CRMS, telephones and accessories.
  • Supervise the administration of the call logging system on IP PBX, Call Centre, CRMS.
  • Ensure effective utilization of communications equipment accessories, service manuals, essential tools and spares.
  • Follow-up with service on faults occurring on the external telephone lines.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on the voice communications equipment namely IP PBX, Call Centre, CRMS, telephones and accessories.
  • Undertake installations and configuration of voice communications equipment namely IP PBX, Call Centre, CRMS, telephones and accessories.
  • Conduct research on latest ICT voice communications trends in the world and providing advice and recommending direction to ICT management on ICT communication matters.

C. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate or General Certificate of Education (GCE) equivalent with five credits or better including Maths and English.
  • Minimum of Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications or Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant post qualifying work experience in the Information and Communication Technology field; and
  • Must be a valid member of ICTAZ or any other relevant professional body.
