Background
In line with our corporate priorities aimed at ensuring optimization of revenue collection and increased tax compliance on one hand and the need to effectively manage the numerous challenges and opportunities in the fast-changing business environment on the other, we are seeking highly motivated, result-oriented, well-qualified and experienced professionals to fill the following vacant position:
ICT OFFICER-ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS, SALARY GRADE GRADE 1 (POSITION) INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY FUNCTION
A. PURPOSE
Reporting to the Senior ICT Officer – Communications Electronic Systems, the job holder will effectively support the ZRA business through the provision of timely, cost effective, efficient and professional ICT communication services through consultation, agreements and research, with customers and service providers by developing and implementing ICT strategies, standards and procedures for the purpose of achieving corporate goals.
B. MAIN DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ensure that all the electronic systems equipment such as CCTV, DVHF, EQMS and Access Control and accessories are functioning properly.
- Repair electronic systems equipment such as CCTV, DVHF, EQMS, Access Control and accessories.
- Supervise the administration of the logging system on CCTV, DVHF, EQMS and Access Control systems.
- Ensure effective utilization of communications equipment accessories, service manuals, essential tools and spares.
- Follow up with service providers on faults for supported systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance on the electronic systems equipment namely CCTV, DVHF, Access Control and EQMS.
- Conduct Service level review meetings with vendors.
- Undertake installations and configuration of Electronic systems and equipment namely CCTV, DVHF, EQMS and Access Control.
- Carry out research on latest ICT voice communications trends in the world and providing advice and recommending direction to ICT management on ICT communication matters.
C. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate or General Certificate of Education (GCE) equivalent with five credits or better including Maths and English.
- Minimum of Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications or Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant post qualifying work experience in the Information and Communication Technology field.
- Must be a valid member of ICTAZ or any other relevant professional body.

- Written and oral Communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- No criminal record
