Background
In line with our corporate priorities aimed at ensuring optimization of revenue collection and increased tax compliance on one hand and the need to effectively manage the numerous challenges and opportunities in the fast-changing business environment on the other, we are seeking highly motivated, result-oriented, well-qualified and experienced professionals to fill the following vacant position:
ICT OFFICER-OPERATIONS HQ, SALARY GRADE GRADE 1 (POSITION) INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY FUNCTION
A. PURPOSE
Reporting to Senior ICT Officer – Operations, the job holder will support the ZRA business through the provision of timely, cost effective, efficient, and professional ICT, end-user support, ICT training and awareness through consultation, agreements and research with end users and service providers for the purpose of achieving corporate goals.
B. MAIN DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Deal, track, update and close all incidences assigned within agreed time periods.
- Ensure that users are making full usage of the available features on ICT end-user desktop application systems.
- Ensure proper usage of all ICT end-user systems.
- Conduct and implement ICT training within the Authority business areas on various end-user desktop application and/or software whenever required.
- Ensure that all ICT end-user software and hardware assets are properly accounted for and managed.
- Ensure that all ICT end-user equipment and accessories adhere to ICT standards.
- Create, maintain, enforce, and provide ICT end-user systems documentation, procedures, and manuals.
- Perform and supervise safe storage of all ICT information media at appropriate locations.
- Perform repairs of all faulty ICT end-user equipment and accessories brought to helpdesk.
- Perform and supervise routine maintenance of all ICT end-user equipment.
- Ensure the availability of much needed ICT end-user systems accessories, service manuals, spares, and essential tools.
- Conduct research on latest ICT End User systems trends in the world and providing advice and recommending direction to ICT management on ICT networking matters.
C. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate or General Certificate of Education (GCE) equivalent with five credits or better including Maths and English.
- Minimum of Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant post qualifying work experience in the Information and Communication Technology field.
- Must be a valid member of ICTAZ or any other relevant professional body.

- ICT technical skills
- Written and Communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- Team leadership and supervisory skills
