INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY (ICT) OFFICER (ZLDC /4)
Report to
Finance Manager
Job Purpose
To secure and optimize ICT infrastructure, deliver reliable technical support, and accelerate cloud-driven workflow automation to ensure business continuity and organizational innovation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain, monitor and secure network infrastructure, servers, firewalls, switches and wireless systems.
- Administer Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and endpoint management.
- Provide timely technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, email, printers and connectivity issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, onboarding/offboarding and access control.
- Implement and maintain cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS) and cloud-based applications.
- Design, deploy and maintain backups, disaster recovery plans and business continuity measures.
- Develop, deploy and support workflow automation and integration solutions to improve business processes.
- Monitor system health, apply security patches, perform vulnerability management and enforce security policies.
- Maintain ICT inventory, manage procurement, licensing and equipment lifecycle.
- Produce and update ICT documentation, procedures, network diagrams and runbooks.
- Conduct user training and promote security awareness and best practices.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers; manage support contracts and SLAs.
- Support ICT-related projects, testing, rollouts and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Report on ICT performance, incidents and recommended improvements to management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Full Form V/Grade 12 School Certificate
- Bachelor’s Degree in ICT, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2 years of post qualifying experience in ICT.
