INTERNAL AUDITOR (1 POSITION)
Report to: Chief Executive Officer
Job Purpose
To provide independent assurance by evaluating internal controls, risk management, governance, and compliance across Bulk Oil, Cold Chain, and Dry Goods operations, while identifying risks, strengthening controls, and safeguarding company assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a risk-based internal audit plan across Bulk Oil, Cold Chain, Dry Goods, and support functions.
- Conduct financial, operational, compliance, and inventory audits.
- Evaluate internal controls, identify risks, and recommend process improvements.
- Perform stock audits and verify the accuracy of financial and operational records.
- Review procurement, cash management, revenue, and payment processes for compliance.
- Investigate fraud, inventory variances, and other irregularities, and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and prepare audit reports.
- Support enterprise risk management, external audits, and corporate governance initiatives.
- Promote compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and industry standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Full Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Internal Auditing, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional qualification such as ACCA, ZICA, CIMA, CIA,
- Membership with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) or the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience in internal auditing, external auditing, risk management, or financial controls, preferably within FMCG, manufacturing, distribution, or agribusiness.
- Sound knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk management principles, corporate governance, and audit methodologies.
- Good understanding of Zambian tax legislation, VAT, PAYE, NAPSA, NHIMA, and other statutory requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and audit software.

- Strong analytical, investigative, report writing, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High ethical standards, integrity, confidentiality, and professional independence.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and travel to company operational sites when required.
