Background

IQUBE Zambia Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced IT Technical Officer to support and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure across its retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain computers, servers, printers and other IT equipment.
• Install, monitor and troubleshoot CCTV cameras, NVRs and DVRs.
• Configure and support LAN/WAN networks, Wi-Fi access points, routers, switches and firewalls.
• Provide technical support for point-of-sale systems and retail applications.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, internet and connectivity problems.
• Perform system backups, upgrades and preventive maintenance.
• Monitor network and CCTV system performance across company locations.
• Maintain accurate IT equipment inventories and technical documentation.
• Support users remotely and physically at different sites.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking or a related field.
• Minimum of three years’ relevant IT experience in a retail environment.
• Practical experience with CCTV systems, computer networking and hardware maintenance.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems, servers, Microsoft Office and remote-support applications.
• Experience supporting point-of-sale systems will be an added advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel to different company locations when required.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond promptly to technical incidents.
