JOB OPPORTUNITY – JUNIOR LEGAL ASSOCIATE

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated early-career lawyer to provide legal and field support services. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who is comfortable working both in office and in community settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal follow-ups with government offices, councils, and related institutions
  • Assist with documentation, filing, and regulatory compliance processes
  • Support land-related legal matters, including due diligence and document review
  • Engage with traditional leadership and local stakeholders on land and community issues
  • Provide general legal and administrative support as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree
  • Admitted to the Bar or eligible for admission
  • Knowledge of Land Law is essential
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Bemba (spoken fluency required)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage respectfully with traditional leaders (Chiefs) and community representatives
  • Good organizational and follow-up skills
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and reliability

Preferred Attribute

  • 0–3 years’ post-qualification experience
  • Experience working with land matters, customary land issues, or local authorities
  • Ability to work independently and handle field assignments

  • Detail-oriented
  • Willing to learn and take initiative
