Zambeef Products PLC is the largest integrated cold chain food products and Agribusiness Company in Zambia and one of the largest in the Southern Africa region. It is involved in the primary production, processing, distribution, and retailing of beef, chicken, pork, eggs, dairy, fish, flour, leather, shoes, stock feed, and day-old chicks throughout Zambia and the surrounding region.

KEY ACCOUNTS SPECIALIST (HORECA SALES & GROWTH)– MASTERPORK (1)

Responsibilities or duties

  • Developing and executing strategic account plans to drive sales growth, profitability, and market share across the HORECA channel (Hotels, Restaurants, Caterers, Institutions, and Cafés).
  • Building, managing, and strengthening long-term relationships with key decision-makers within assigned accounts to maximize customer retention and business growth.
  • Identifying, negotiating, and securing new HORECA business opportunities while expanding product penetration within existing accounts.
  • Achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales volume, revenue, distribution, and profitability targets.
  • Conducting regular customer visits to review business performance, identify opportunities, and provide commercial solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Collaborating with Supply Chain, Production, Customer Service, and Logistics teams to ensure orders are delivered On Time In Full (OTIF) while maintaining high service levels.
  • Monitoring customer stock levels, consumption patterns, and forecast demand to improve product availability and reduce stock-outs.
  • Driving the successful listing, distribution, visibility, merchandising, and activation of new and existing products within HORECA accounts.
  • Analysing sales performance, market intelligence, competitor activities, pricing trends, and customer buying behaviour to identify growth opportunities and recommend strategic interventions.
  • Developing and implementing promotional campaigns, menu partnerships, trade activations, and customer engagement initiatives to increase sales and brand visibility.
  • Managing customer complaints, product quality issues, and service concerns promptly while coordinating corrective actions with relevant departments.
  • Preparing accurate sales forecasts, account reviews, pipeline reports, and performance dashboards to support business planning.
  • Ensuring effective credit management by monitoring customer payments, collections, and adherence to agreed trading terms.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Full grade 12 Certificate
  • Diploma in Marketing and Meat Processing an added advantage.
  • Basic Computer understanding and Integrated Process and Stock Control Systems exposure.
  • Class B Driver’s License
  • No Criminal Record.

Experience needed

  • 3 years’ experience in Sales Management and at least 2 years in Meat Processing.
