ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City. ICAP seeks a highly qualified candidate to serve as Laboratory Advisor. The position will be based in Solwezi, North-Western Province of Zambia. The candidate should be able to fill the position by July 2026.

Responsibilities or duties

The incumbent will possess a minimum of a full grade 12 certificate, a bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science, a master will be an added advantage, should have a minimum of seven (7) years' experience working in a large clinical or research laboratory, relevant work experience in a similar position working for a donor funded project or an international NGO, will be an added advantage. Should have prior experience with relevant current routine HIV/TB laboratory procedures including viral load, Recency, PCR, hematological, biochemical and microbiological analyses etc., prior experience in training, mentoring, and supervision of laboratory professionals, basic computing skills including Microsoft excel, have fluent English oral and written communication skills and should be fully registered with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) with a current practicing license for 2026.
