Background
Aller Aqua Zambia Limited invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Laboratory Technician. The role reports to the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Manager and will be based at the Aller Aqua Zambia Factory, in Siavonga.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct routine laboratory tests and analyses in accordance with established procedures
- Prepare samples, reagents, and laboratory equipment for testing
- Accurately record, analyze, and report test results
- Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and cleanliness of laboratory equipment
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and quality control standards
- Assist in stock management of laboratory supplies and reagents
- Support senior laboratory staff in research and diagnostic activities
QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Full Grade Twelve School Certificate (GCE)
- Degree in Laboratory Technology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field
- Registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable)
- At least 1–2 years of relevant laboratory experience will be an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety standards
- Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
