It is involved in the primary production, processing, distribution and retailing of beef, chicken, pork, eggs, dairy, fish, flour, stock feed and day-old chicks throughout Zambia and the surrounding region.

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN – (NOVATEK MPONGWE) (1)

Responsibilities or duties

• Analyzing raw material samples using the NIR machine.
• Analyzing finished feed products using the NIR machine.
• Printing analytical results and sending them to relevant persons.
• Reporting any non-conforming raw material and feed product to the Supervisor.
• Performing sieve tests on finished feed products.
• Performing pellet durability test on pellet feed products.
• Recording the lab analysis and grading results of all raw materials sampled in the Zambeef utility
• Indicating whether a truck has been approved for offloading in the utility.
• Standing in for the Lab and Quality Controller and performing any other duties assigned by Supervisor when need arises.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma Laboratory Science, Food Science, Biochemistry or Related field

Experience needed

• 2 years previous experience
