The Board of Mwense Trades Training Institute (MwTTI) under the Ministry of Technology and Science of the Republic of Zambia, situated in Mwense in Luapula Province, is looking for a suitably qualified individual to fill the following position:

LECTURER – ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING (1)

JOB PURPOSE

To undertake the preparation and delivery of training to impart knowledge, attitudes and skills in students.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and deliver theoretical and practical learning of high standards.
  • Maintain a teaching file.
  • Assess students by administering assignments and tests.
  • Maintain students’ performance records.
  • Maintain order and discipline among students.
  • Participate in designing, marketing and implementation of viable programmes and projects.
  • Coordinate with other staff in ensuring institute objectives are achieved.
  • Any other duties assigned by the supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Full Grade twelve (12) or equivalent Certificate with credits or better in five subjects including science and mathematics.
  • Minimum of Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • Diploma in Teaching methodology.
  • TEVETA accredited trainer as an added advantage.
  • Two (2) years teaching/practical experience preferably in a TEVET Institution.
  • Good facilitation and interpersonal skills.
  • Honest, hardworking, and dependable.
