Breath of Heaven Children’s Ministries (BOHCM) is a registered NGO dedicated to meeting the holistic needs of orphans and vulnerable children in Zambia. Located in Barlastone Park, Lusaka, the Ministry operates a Children’s Village, a primary and secondary school, a medical clinic, and a community church. We are nearing completion of our Vocational Training College (VTC), which will provide quality post-secondary education to empower both our children and the surrounding community.
We are inviting applications from suitably qualified and committed individuals for the position of Part-Time Lecturer – General Hospitality at our Vocational Training College.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality theoretical and practical instruction, mentor learners in hospitality skills, and prepare students for both examinations and real-world industry demands.
Responsibilities or duties
- Teach General Hospitality in line with the approved curriculum
- Prepare and deliver engaging theory and practical lessons
- Assess, record, and report on student performance
- Guide learners in hospitality ethics, customer service, and professionalism
- Ensure proper use and care of training facilities and equipment
- Participate in departmental and institutional academic activities
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Diploma in Hotel Management or a related hospitality qualification
- Valid teaching qualification or evidence of pedagogical training
- Updated Teaching Council registration (where applicable)
- Strong practical and instructional skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be a committed and practicing Christian
Experience needed
- Previous lecturing or teaching experience
- Industry experience in hospitality or hotel management
- Experience handling practical hospitality training
