Job Summary

The Logistics Supervisor will coordinate and supervise logistics operations, including transportation, distribution, customs coordination, and limited warehousing activities. The role ensures efficient and timely delivery of goods, proper documentation, and compliance with company policies and Zambian regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily logistics and distribution operations.
  • Liaise with customs clearance companies, DHL, and customs officials.
  • Ensure tracking forms and shipment documentation are updated promptly.
  • Arrange and coordinate local deliveries with transportation providers.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Supervise drivers and logistics personnel.
  • Maintain logistics records and prepare performance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, road, and labour regulations in Zambia.
  • Monitor vehicle usage, maintenance, and fuel consumption.
  • Resolve delivery and operational challenges.
  • Support warehouse operations where necessary (limited warehousing activities).

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in logistics or supply chain.
  • Experience working with customs clearance processes is an added advantage.
  • Warehouse management experience is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is an added advantage.

  • Attention to detail and accountability.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders (transporters, customs, service providers).
