Background

Educore, through its network of schools including Trident Prep and Trident College, is inviting applications from suitably qualified, passionate, and dedicated individuals for the following positions:

The Management Accountant supports the Finance Manager in delivering accurate and timely financial information to support strategic decision-making across the Educore Group. The role includes budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, performance monitoring, and management reporting.

Qualifications Required

  • Professional Qualification (CIMA, ACCA, CA Zambia) or University Degree in Accountancy.
  • Minimum five years’ work experience in a senior Finance and Accounting role.
  • Membership of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).

Key Responsibilities

  • Management Reporting
  • Produce timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial dashboards.
  • Support management in understanding financial trends and operational performance.
  • Financial Control and Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements where necessary.
  • Support external and internal audit processes.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and financial records for accuracy and completeness
  • Other
  • Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting exercises.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis reports.
  • Develop financial models and business cases to support strategic initiatives

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Strong financial planning and analytical skills.
  • Excellent budgeting, management reporting and forecasting expertise.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in accounting systems (Sage Pastel preferred).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.

Although primarily based in Solwezi, the successful candidate will travel extensively between the growing number of Educore schools in Zambia.
