- Prepare, review and report MTN Zambia's financial performance to MTN Group and external stakeholders in accordance with IFRS, IAS and Group reporting requirements.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness and integrity of financial data uploaded into Hyperion and other reporting systems.
- Produce monthly financial reports including Income Statements, Balance Sheets and Cash Flow Statements.
- Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting cycles and ensure timely submission of Group reporting packs.
- Lead the financial reporting audit process and support statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with evolving IFRS, IAS and MTN Group accounting standards and provide technical accounting guidance to management.
- Maintain and review balance sheet reconciliations and monthly audit files to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Collaborate with Finance Operations and other business units to ensure accurate financial information and effective reporting processes.
- Support financial forecasting and business planning through analysis of financial information and reporting trends.
- Drive continuous improvement and automation of reporting processes across financial systems including IFS, Hyperion and related reporting platforms.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, reporting procedures and internal controls.
- Lead, coach and develop the Financial Reporting team while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and high performance.
- Grade 12 certificate with 5 credit or better of which English and Mathematics are a must
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related field.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA or equivalent is compulsory.
- Minimum five (5) years practical accounting and finance experience, including at least two years in Financial Reporting.
- Experience working with enterprise financial systems such as Hyperion, Oracle Financial Analyzer or IFS.
- Experience in financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting.
- Experience in Assurance unit of top audit/accounting firm is desirable
- Minimum two (2) years supervisory or team leadership experience.
