DIRECTORATE/DEPARTMENT PURPOSE:
The Directorate is responsible for optimizing the ZCCM-IH and subsidiaries’ Information, communication, and technology to support its strategic objectives while ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of Information, Communication, and Technology infrastructure. It also provides oversight of the ZCCM-IH subsidiaries’ ICT aspects.
JOB PURPOSE
Organize, monitor, and coordinate technology projects in the space of ICT in alignment and compliance with the ZCCM-IH group strategy.
Ensures efficient day-to-day running of the ICT infrastructure including Network connectivity, applications systems, internet connectivity, and Applications systems.
Ensures ICT expenditure is within the approved budget
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
3.1 Provide input in the development and implementation of an ICT strategy aligned with the overall business strategy.
3.2 Provide input in establishing and enforcing ICT governance frameworks in line with organizational policies and procedures.
3.3 Manage, plan, implement, and take a leading role in ensuring that all Group IT infrastructural requirements are met with effective exploitation and implementation of systems, to support business strategies in line with corporate objectives by managing ICT infrastructure such as desktops, laptops, servers, printing, physical controls, data & VoIP/ Telephony, Systems and databases, well as indent management.
3.4 Keeping abreast of and advising on emerging technologies, assessing their potential impact on business operations and strategy.
3.5 Implementing approved cybersecurity measures to protect company data and infrastructure from cyber threats. High-level design, implementation, and management of security and Network infrastructure.
3.6 Ensuring adherence to data management practices, data quality guidelines, and leveraging data analytics for business insights.
3.7 Ensuring adherence to internal and external legal, regulatory, and policy requirements, and managing ICT-related Audits and risks. Conducts security control reviews for most control types and techniques and for most types of business applications and computer installations.
3.8 Managing ICT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
3.9 Managing relationships with ICT vendors and service providers, including contract negotiations and service level agreements.
3.10 Establishing and maintaining effective disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Ensure capacity management, monitoring and replication of services is happening as per RTO.
3.11 Provide input in the creation and maintenance of IT technology standards, documentation, and procedures for ZCCM-IH groups in line with the organization standards and ensuring implementation thereof.
3.12 Ensuring effective end-user support and training programs for ICT systems and applications.
3.13 Provide support in developing and help in managing the ICT budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
3.14 To perform any other duties from to time as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Manage CAPEX and OPEX expenses within agreed budgets for IT-related systems.
Responsibility for physical assets
Responsible for the company’s ICT physical assets. This includes ensuring the secure, efficient, and effective management of all hardware, software, and related equipment.
Job Requirements
Grade 12 certificate or equivalent with five (5) Credits or better in five subjects English and Mathematics included.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science; Information Systems; Computer Engineering or equivalent.
Relevant professional membership including ICTAZ.
Not less than 5 Years Work experience in a busy and complex work environment experience in a similar Position
Minimum level of professional qualification required to perform effectively in the role Relevant IT certifications in software/hardware, networking and communication, security, IT governance [COBIT, ITIL],or related.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft/ UNIX/LINUX, Operating Systems, CISCO, UTM – Unified Threat Management (Firewalls), and Client/Server Hardware.
