About the Role

Lotus Way International School is seeking an ambitious, persuasive and results-driven Marketing and Admissions Executive to grow student enrolment in Lusaka.

This is a hands-on, performance-based student recruitment role. The successful candidate will take ownership of prospective families from the first enquiry through school visits, application, follow-up, payment and enrolment, followed by an orderly handover to the relevant school team.

This is not a passive administrative, reception or social-media-only position. Applicants must be comfortable with enrolment targets, direct parent engagement, field outreach, persistent follow-up and commission-linked earnings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate qualified parent leads through community outreach, referrals, partnerships, events, telephone calls, WhatsApp and social media.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to admissions enquiries.
  • Understand each family’s needs and clearly explain the school’s curriculum, facilities, fees and value proposition.
  • Arrange school tours, parent meetings and assessments, and follow up consistently until the family reaches a clear decision.
  • Address parent questions and objections professionally and work actively towards enrolment.
  • Maintain an accurate admissions pipeline showing every lead, conversation, next action and outcome.
  • Coordinate with Reception, Academic staff and Finance to complete registration and payment requirements.
  • Ensure an orderly handover of newly enrolled families to the relevant school staff.
  • Submit daily activity records and weekly reports on leads, visits, applications, conversions and confirmed enrolments.
  • Achieve agreed individual monthly and termly enrolment targets.

The role concerns prospective-parent engagement and enrolment. Ongoing academic, disciplinary, safeguarding, fee-account and general parent-relations matters remain with the designated school functions after handover.

Performance Measures

Performance will be assessed primarily through:

  • Qualified parent leads generated
  • Speed and quality of enquiry response
  • School visits and applications secured
  • Lead-to-enrolment conversion rate
  • Confirmed fee-paying students
  • Accuracy of admissions records
  • Personal ownership and resolution of obstacles

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, customer acquisition or school admissions.
  • Evidence of measurable targets achieved or customers successfully converted.
  • School admissions or education-sector experience is an advantage.
  • Confident, persuasive and professional communication with parents.
  • Strong follow-up, negotiation and objection-handling skills.
  • Good command of English; knowledge of commonly spoken Zambian languages is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with WhatsApp, Facebook, spreadsheets and lead-tracking systems.
  • Good knowledge of Lusaka communities and willingness to conduct regular field outreach.
  • Self-motivated, accountable and comfortable working under measurable performance targets.

Compensation and Working Arrangement

  • Fixed gross package: K8,200 per month, comprising basic salary and applicable allowances.
  • Attractive, performance-based and uncapped commission on successful student enrolments.
  • Strong performers can earn more than K20,000 per month in total.
  • This is a full-time, field-oriented and results-driven role. The employee may conduct approved outreach away from campus but must attend scheduled meetings, school tours and events, follow up with prospective parents promptly and maintain complete records.
  • Performance will be reviewed against agreed lead-generation and enrolment targets during the probation period.
