MECHANIC – 3 POSITIONS
Job Summary:
The Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing mining vehicles, heavy equipment, plant, and machinery to ensure reliable and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on mining equipment and vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and perform repairs efficiently.
- Inspect machinery and identify potential mechanical problems before breakdowns occur.
- Service engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, brakes, and other mechanical components.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and servicing activities.
- Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with safety procedures and manufacturer specifications.
- Work closely with operators and supervisors to minimize equipment downtime.
Requirements:
- Relevant mechanical qualification or trade certificate.
- Previous experience working with heavy-duty or mining equipment is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.

Level of Education: bachelor degree
