Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and fit mechanical components according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Install, maintain, and repair machinery and mechanical systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out corrective actions.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other tradespeople to optimize equipment performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in industrial, manufacturing, or engineering environments.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Proficiency in using tools, machines, and measuring instruments.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety.
