Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, service, maintain and repair heavy mining and construction equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Complete maintenance records and service reports.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained in safe and operational condition.
  • Work in accordance with company, manufacturer and mining-site safety procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Grade 12 certificate with a relevant mechanical qualification, such as a Diploma or Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Experience with mining or heavy construction equipment is highly desirable.
  • Experience working on CAT, Hitachi or similar heavy equipment will be an added advantage.
  • Previous experience working at major mining operations, including Barrick, First Quantum or similar mines, is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work under demanding site conditions and shifts.
