Mechanic – 3 Positions
Job Summary
The Mechanic will inspect, service, diagnose, repair, and maintain company trucks, vehicles, and other mechanical equipment to ensure fleet reliability and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine servicing and preventive maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults.
- Inspect vehicles before and after operations.
- Repair or replace defective mechanical components.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and servicing.
- Identify potential mechanical problems and recommend corrective action.
- Ensure tools and workshop equipment are properly maintained.
- Follow occupational health and safety procedures.
- Support emergency repairs and breakdown recovery when required.
Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience working on heavy commercial vehicles or trucks is an advantage.
- Strong mechanical diagnostic and repair skills.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
