Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach music theory and practical instrumental/vocal training to students across different age groups.
  • Develop and implement engaging music lesson plans that promote creativity and rhythm.
  • Prepare students for performances, examinations, and music competitions.
  • Maintain music equipment and ensure proper usage.
  • Organize school musical events and extracurricular activities like choirs or bands.
  • Identify and nurture musical talent among students.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proficient in at least one musical instrument.
  • Knowledgeable in music theory and different music styles.
  • Able to inspire creativity and confidence through music.

General Requirements for All Positions:

  • Diploma or Degree in Primary Education / Early Childhood Education / Music (as applicable)
  • At least 25 years old
  • Registered with the Teaching Council of Zambia (T.C.Z)
  • Valid Practising License
  • At least 2 years of proven teaching experience
  • G.C.E Certificate with 5 credits or better, including English
  • Christian with a minimum of 3 years of personal testimony
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Strong ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Computer literacy is a must
  • Excellent interpersonal and classroom management skills
