Position Overview

The News Director will lead the news department, ensuring timely, factual, and compelling news coverage. The role requires journalistic excellence, editorial oversight, and strategic news planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all newsroom activities including story selection, writing, and editing
• Assign reporters and anchor staff to news segments
• Maintain journalistic ethics and editorial standards
• Coordinate news coverage for radio and TV
• Monitor news trends and adjust content strategy accordingly
• Oversee newsroom deadlines and broadcast schedules

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or related field
• At least 3 years of experience in news production or editing
• Strong writing, editing, and leadership skills
• Knowledge of current affairs and media ethics
• Ability to manage a fast-paced newsroom environment
