We Are Hiring an Operations Associate

Hi there, if you enjoy getting things done, keeping work organised, following up, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks, this role might be exactly what you’re looking for.

At Rivuuz, we help homeowners build smarter. We manage residential construction projects from start to finish, making sure our clients stay on budget, work with the right professionals, and avoid costly mistakes.

A big part of making this work is ensuring that day-to-day operations run smoothly across procurement, project execution, and finance. That’s where you come in.

Come and Help Us Keep the Business Moving Forward

We’re looking for someone who can step in across different parts of the business and help keep work moving.

You won’t be stepping into a perfectly organised system. You’ll be stepping into a real, fast-moving business where things are busy, sometimes messy, and always changing.

You’ll be the person who makes sure:

  • Tasks don’t sit or get forgotten
  • Work continues even when people are overloaded or absent
  • Small issues are handled before they become big problems

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

This is not a passive assistant role. You’ll be actively supporting execution across procurement, project execution, client fulfilment, and finance, depending on where the business needs you most.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with procurement (placing orders, following up with suppliers, tracking deliveries)
  • Supporting project coordination (updating tasks, following up, tracking progress)
  • Assisting with finance admin (preparing invoices, organising receipts, updating records)
  • Following up on tasks to ensure they are completed on time
  • Identifying overdue or stuck work and helping move it forward
  • Supporting the team during busy periods or when someone is absent

What Success Looks Like in Your First 30 Days

This is an execution-focused role. In your first month, you will be expected to:

  • Understand how work flows across procurement, fulfilment, and finance
  • Start completing tasks independently with minimal supervision
  • Identify and act on overdue or stuck work
  • Reduce the amount of follow-up needed from others
  • Help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly

The Kind of Person We’re Looking For

You’ve probably worked in an operations, admin, coordination, or support role where you’ve had to juggle multiple tasks and keep things organised. You don’t wait to be told what to do. You look at what needs to be done and you get started.

You are:

  • Proactive and responsive
  • Organised but also flexible
  • Comfortable working on different types of tasks in the same day
  • Able to prioritise what matters most

Even when things are messy or unclear, you move things forward instead of getting stuck. You follow through. You communicate clearly. You don’t ignore things that are pending or unclear.

In addition to being organised, you must follow systems and processes. Just to show that you are detail-oriented and can follow instructions, when you apply for this position, you must start your answer to the Why Rivuuz? question in the application form with this sentence: “I’ve read what it’s like to work at Rivuuz and here’s why I’m excited to apply....”. Yes, this is how we filter out people who apply randomly from those who read the application and genuinely want to join us.

Who This Role Is NOT For

This role will not suit you if:

  • You prefer being given step-by-step instructions
  • You struggle to prioritise when there are multiple tasks
  • You get overwhelmed easily when things are busy
  • You wait for direction instead of taking initiative
  • You need perfect systems before you can do your job

The Must-Haves for This Role

  • 1–3 years of experience in operations, admin, or coordination roles
  • Strong organisational and follow-through skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Clear and simple communication
  • High sense of urgency and accountability
  • Comfortable using tools like Google Sheets and task management systems
  • Experience in construction or finance/admin is a plus but not required.

What It’s Like Working at Rivuuz

We’re a small, fast-moving startup with big goals.

We are building systems while running live projects, which means things can feel intense and imperfect at times.

We work with urgency. We solve problems quickly. We improve constantly.

You won’t be sitting in a quiet office doing the same task every day.

You’ll be in the middle of a real business, helping keep everything running smoothly.

Your work will directly impact:

  • How fast projects move
  • How organised the team is
  • How smoothly the business operates day to day

How to Apply

If this sounds like your kind of work, we’d love to hear from you.

Fill in the application form below and tell us about your experience.
