Key Responsibility:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations in the fabrication workshop, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
  • Plan, schedule, and allocate work to fabrication and installation teams to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Oversee fabrication activities, including cutting, welding, assembly, and finishing.
  • Oversee installation works
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Monitor material usage, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance and support to fabrication staff.
  • Conduct inspections, review technical drawings, and verify the dimensional accuracy of finished products.
  • Inspect work site installations to ensure quality work is done
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance performance and productivity.
  • Prepare daily/weekly operational reports.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering
  • Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma will be an added advantage
  • Advanced Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
  • Certificate in AutoCAD 3D & Auto Electrical
  • Member of EIZ (Engineering Institution of Zambia)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or workshop supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes, fabrication techniques, and material specifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
