JOB DETAILS:

Sandvik Mining and Construction Zambia Limited is seeking a dedicated and experienced Drill Equipment Training Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting site operations by training and developing operators for Drilling equipment operation. This position involves coaching operators on equipment utilization, enhancing operator efficiency, and promoting safe operating practices. Additionally, the specialist will assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of training modules for operators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Training and Development: Conduct comprehensive training sessions for operators on Drills, ensuring they are proficient in using the equipment safely and efficiently.
• Coaching: Provide hands-on coaching to operators, focusing on improving their equipment utilization and operational efficiency.
• Safety Practices: Promote and enforce safe operating practices among operators to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
• Training Modules: Assist in the creation, development, and continuous improvement of training modules for operators, ensuring the content is up-to-date and relevant.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate operator performance, providing feedback and additional training as needed to ensure optimal performance.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of training sessions, operator progress, and any incidents or issues that arise during training.
• Collaboration: Work closely with site operations and other team members to identify training needs and develop strategies to address them.
• Compliance: Ensure all training programs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3 to 5 Years Proven experience in Surface Drills operations and training.
• Education: Relevant certifications or qualifications in equipment operation and safety training. A Certificate in Teaching Methodology will be an added advantage.
• Skills: Excellent communication and coaching skills, with the ability to effectively train and motivate operators.
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Drilling and Blasting, safety protocols, and best practices in equipment operation.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining training records and developing training materials.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with site operations and other team members.

Level of Education: bachelor degree
