Background

Our client, in the Energy and Petroleum Industry, a downstream oil and gas company operating retail service stations, fuel depots, and bulk supply chains across the country wishes to hire the following positions.

Job Purpose

To deliver high-quality painting, ceiling, and general finishing works for petrol-station buildings, canopies, and facilities, with flexibility to perform multiple trades.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces (sanding, filling, priming) and apply paint finishes to walls, ceilings, metalwork, and canopies.
• Install and repair ceilings (suspended, gypsum, or PVC) and cornices.
• Carry out general finishing works including tiling, minor carpentry, and touch-up repairs.
• Ensure colour consistency, neat edges, and client-approved finishes.
• Maintain tools, materials, and work-area cleanliness.

Qualifications & Certifications

• Trade certificate in Painting & Decorating, Building Construction, or related field.
• Multi-skill certification or demonstrated competence in ceiling works and finishing trades is preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a painter in commercial construction.
• Proven ability to perform ceiling installation and general finishing tasks.

Competencies

• Eye for detail and high-quality finish.
• Ability to work across multiple trades (painting, ceilings, minor carpentry/tiling).
• Time management and adherence to schedules.

Working Conditions

• Site-based with exposure to paint fumes and dust; PPE required.
• May involve working at heights for ceiling and canopy works.
