Background

Zambeef Products PLC is the largest integrated cold chain food products and agribusiness company in Zambia and one of the largest in the Southern Africa region. It is involved in the primary production, processing, distribution, and retailing of beef, chicken, pork, eggs, dairy, fish, flour, stock feed, and day-old chicks throughout Zambia and the surrounding region.

Responsibilities

Doing all painting works

Carrying out painting assessment works

Carrying out skimming works.

Making sure that the mixing, matching and application of paint is properly done.

Preparing surfaces before painting works are commenced.

Regularly assessing activities conducted to identify any significant hazards.

Making sure that tools are used properly following safety guidelines.

Ensuring that scaffolds and ladders are positioned properly to prevent falls (accidents)

Wearing and using appropriate protective clothing and safety equipment.

Adhering to all company healthy and safety policies.

Any other assigned duties.

Qualifications

Grade 12 School Certificate

Craft Certificate in Painting & Decorating, General Maintenance from a recognized institution

Experience

2 years practical experience in painting works (residential, commercial, or industrial)

Skills

Knowledge of different paint types, finishing techniques, color schemes, and application methods

Attributes

Ability to work in pressured and deadlines – driven operating environment

Ability to self –manage workload and work independently.

Ability to establish and maintain effective relationship with other divisions, management and all levels of associates.

Work as a Team player

Strong, conceptual and problem - solving skills.

Compliance, Governance and ethics.

Basic communication and interpersonal skills
