JOB DETAILS:

Educational Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in English, Communication Studies, Linguistics, or a closely related field.
• A Ph.D. (completed or in progress) in a relevant discipline is an added advantage.
• A teaching qualification (e.g., Postgraduate Certificate in Education or equivalent) is desirable.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the tertiary or university level.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching English Language, Communication Skills, or Academic Writing.
• Experience in curriculum development and online or blended learning environments is a plus.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• In-depth knowledge of English grammar, composition, presentation skills, and academic communication.
• Ability to engage and motivate students from diverse academic backgrounds.
• Proficient in using Learning Management Systems and basic classroom technology (e.g., PowerPoint, Word).

Personal Attributes:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence.
• High level of professionalism, punctuality, and integrity.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with academic staff.

Additional Requirements:

• Availability to teach in the evening depending on the schedule.
